When I first came to Nepal, I became accustomed to hearing Nepali and Hindi music in people’s homes and public transportation. I love listening to Hindi music even if I can’t understand it, but often I don’t know the names of the songs or the artists. I find Shazam doesn’t work as well in Asia as it does in America so it’s hard to know what exactly it is I’m listening to. Lately, Suraj has been playing some awesome Hindi music while we are staying at home, and it always has the sensation of a getaway from reality. Therefore, I wanted to share my top 10 favorite Hindi songs with everyone else. Whether you’ve been to India and missed the music or you want to pretend you are there, these Hindi songs create the perfect escape!
